At BI-MU 2026, PEI will present two major innovations that further strengthen its commitment to the development of advanced dynamic protection systems for machine tools.
For more than 45 years, the company has been designing solutions that improve machine reliability, safety and performance. This year, PEI introduces a new wireless drive system for the Wave Sky roof bellows and a new generation of wipers manufactured using additive technology, engineered to reduce friction and enhance machine accuracy.

PEI Srl has officially joined the IFAB network as an associated company

IFAB – International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development – is a research and innovation center dedicated to the development and application of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for sustainable growth and human development.
The network brings together companies, institutions, and scientific organizations with the aim of fostering collaboration between research and industry and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies across different economic sectors.

X-Y SHIELDS 2025

PEI presents some new features at EMO 2025 concerning the recent UNIQUE STEEL COVER EVO and the MODULAR X-Y shield.
UNIQUE STEEL COVER EVO fits specially for X-Y shield configurations: features excellent chip resistance with extremely reduced overall dimensions: the closed length measures 40% less than traditional bellows, making it the most suitable product for applications with particularly small spaces.
Concerning the Modular X-Y shields, a new technology has been developed by P.E.I. to design and manufacture the bellow shields much faster, in order to offer a more efficient service to our customers

WAVE COVER: A PROTECTIVE COVER FOR ALL HEIGHTS

Now a new version has been presented – Wave Cover – which is not intended to replace the classic Wave Sky, but to complement it. The new version is no longer limited to the guideways being installed at the highest possible position.

I tradizionali soffietti termosaldati con lamelle sono disponibili nel catalogo PEI da sempre; a questi dispositivi si aggiunge da oggi la versione senza mantice chiamata UNIQUE STEEL COVER, una soluzione tesa ancora una volta a compattare lo spazio occupato sulla macchina utensile.

Anche questa nuova tapparella può essere pedonabile, ma in realtà nasce per offrire ai costruttori di macchine la possibilità di chiudere con una adeguata protezione non solo un’area verticale, ma anche parte della zona superiore della macchina che spesso non è semplicemente orizzontale, ma inclinata, come nel caso di cambio pezzo o cambio pallet.
